Community Housing Developing Organization (CHDO)
Services:

• Emergency housing for at-risk families or individuals in transition
• Monitored supportive staff to ensure basic needs are met

Eligible (offered but not limited to):

• Individuals with special needs/handicap
• Low income
• Homeless/at-risk individuals
• Victims of domestic abuse

Walnut Grove Supportive Housing
Services:

• Safety: secure building, deadbolt locks, and smoke detectors
• Barrier free according to ADA requirements, allows access and mobility to all areas

Comfort:

• Decorate as you wish
• Wall to wall carpeting
• Range, frost-free refrigerator and garbage disposal
• Central heat and air conditioning

Eligible:

• Low-income persons who are developmentally and physically challenged

Cost:

• Rent is based on income
• For qualified persons, will not exceed 30% of monthly income
• Utility payment included in rent

Hyman CHDO Project is now expected to be completed and ready for occupancy June 2008. Contractors are David Adams Construction along with Anthony Johnson of Visionary Construction. Applicants must meet income guidelines. Applications are currently being accepted. Click on link below.
